The loss dropped the Bobcats to 1-2 with their next game coming Saturday at Strahan Coliseum against Hampton (1 p.m.).

After the Bobcats built up a seven-point lead in the middle of the first half, TCU started hitting shots that they were missing early, going on a 4-0 run that forced a Bobcat timeout. That run continued to extend to 11 points as the Horned Frogs took their first lead of the game. At 22-18 in favor of TCU, Martin hit her second three of the game with 5:42 left in the half to snap the TCU streak, bringing the game to 22-21 TCU.
TCU held a 33-27 lead at halftime, then built the lead steadily, to as much as 14 points in the second half.
Zahna Medley scored 21 for TCU, leading all scorers. The Horned Frogs outrebounded Texas State, 52-44.
